In Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso, we started a sponsorship programme in 2001. In addition to supporting children's education, we partnered with a local organisation to set up a library, which remains one of the few community libraries in the city today. We also built overnight accommodation for tourists and volunteers.

In southern Ghana, where our sponsorship programme started in 2005, we work in the Accra area, and in the village of Busua and its surroundings. In addition to supporting children's education, we partnered with a local organisation to build a library in the village of Busua, part of which we ceded to a health clinic in 2017. In the suburbs of Accra, we support the “Green Village” project, which sensitises young people to ecology and a healthy lifestyle.

In the north of Ghana, in Larabanga, we started a sponsorship programme in 2001. In addition to supporting children's schooling, we worked with a local organisation to set up a library, the only one in the area.
